Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service govern your use of Mazaalai IO (the “Service”), operated by Mazaalai Technologies (“Mazaalai,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service does

Mazaalai IO is an educational platform for practicing data structures and algorithms. It provides a curated set of problems, hints, editorials, and an automated grader. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are between 13 and 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you must have a parent or legal guardian's permission. By signing up you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. One person, one account. Notify us at hello@mazaalai.io if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, probe, or interfere with the grader or any other part of the Service.
  • Scrape, mirror, or otherwise systematically extract problems, hints, or editorials.
  • Automate account creation, log-ins, or submissions.
  • Submit code intended to harm our infrastructure, exfiltrate data, or attack other users.
  • Use the Service to violate any law or another person's rights.

6. Your code and submissions

You retain ownership of any code you submit. You grant Mazaalai a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, run, store, and analyze your submissions strictly for the purpose of operating the Service for you (for example, to grade them and show you your progress). This license ends when you delete your submissions or your account, subject to reasonable backup retention.

7. Our content

The problems, hints, editorials, curriculum, branding, and software that make up the Service are owned by Mazaalai or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use them for your own study. You may not redistribute, republish, sell, or use them to train models or build a competing service.

8. Beta and changes

The Service is offered as-is and may include experimental features. We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time without notice. We will try to communicate significant changes in advance.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms or if we reasonably believe we must to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, liability, governing law) will survive.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that using it will lead to any particular outcome (including, for example, getting a job).

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mazaalai will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is capped at the greater of (a) US $100 or (b) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify Mazaalai against any claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service or these terms will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you (for example, by email or an in-product notice) before it takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after the change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
